![]() ![]() Make offers to buy and sell outside of eBay However, to keep everyone in our community safe we have guidelines and policies that cover how you communicate. The see policy link contains the following information: See the policyĬies/membertomember-contact-policy?id=4262 Take a moment to understand the policy to avoid blocked messages. We’re increasing enforcement of our member-to-member contact policy. Has anyone viewed the following message in Seller Hub? Not a result of sloppy coding or an attempt at improving seller invoicing, eBay is simply closing any remaining buyer and seller email and contact exchange points in a futile attempt to slow down the exodus from the site. It's just another reason to migrate buyers off eBay to my webstore where I can provide a decent customer experience without a bunch of nimrods in San Jose making life way more difficult than it needs to be. Probably via a self-service link sent automatically upon fulfillment. ![]() Almost any webstore platform will produce a really smart looking invoice with all the data that the customer needs to have included. I also have to explain that eBay no longer trusts me to be able to edit the contents of the invoice so no, I can't add their VAT registration number and corporate address to the invoice.ĮBay is a long way from being the seller's platform of choice. ![]() I'd like to send a pdf to try and be a bit more professional, but if course eBay will block that message. I'm tired of having to explain to business buyers overseas (all of whom need an invoice for their Value Added Tax payments calculation) that is run by Americans who by definition have no clue how the world outside the USA operates and that the best that I can do is send them a jpg of the crappy invoice that eBay's systems produce. ![]() The whole invoice thing with eBay is just another source of serious sales friction. So maybe it's a glitch or just that haven't yet benefitted from this "improvement". On my account I still have the ability to print a packing list/invoice as before. Those are good things but we still need to print invoices for our customers.Īll these managers and the CEO of Ebay with college degrees and making mega bucks and they can't even do any common sense things. On a side note besides being able to hide prices for gift reasons the packing list does show the correct total amount paid including sales tax while the old invoice did not. We could probably figure out something by using some sort of a program to print our own invoices but that is what we are already paying Ebay for. We were told the country name has to be alone on the very bottom line of the address and stated in full for it to not kicked out by their sorting scanners. Canada is only CAN and Brazil is only BRA for example. They are even only using the first three letters of the country. According to our local post office they can't process it as the addresses are messed up for both domestic and international mailing.Ĭommas are added in the wrong areas and zip codes have been moved. Thanks for the suggestion but it requires a bunch of folding and we want to present a somewhat professional image.Ī major problem is that the packing slip is just that as it is not properly formatted for mailing. ![]()
